
Social Media Branding
The work you see on this page is an accumulation of projects that I’ve created over the span of three years for my dojo’s instagram (if you’re curious to see more, the tag is @boundlessdojo). It’s a funny story about how I started creating work for this page. 5 years ago I jokingly said to my boss/sensei “Hey maybe I should run the Instagram cause you know, I’m a teen and understand it better, haha”, in which he called out my bluff and said “sure, here’s the password. Have fun!”

For the first two years of running the page, I would just post pictures of the students in class training and try to find a way to create a snarky caption. It wasn’t until Year 3 where I realized I could start applying my skill of photoshop and illustrator to these Instagram posts. This is where I also started to realize that social media isn’t just a tool to try and mooch money off of your clients (like I’ve seen with other instagram pages), but a place where you can provide value, laughter, and a comical side of your business, all to help retain them.
