
Morjuni Cafe

As students, we had to approach local businesses and interview them to learn about how COVID-19 has affected their business. From this, we were to create solutions to make a business “COVID-19 Proof” and create our own business with our findings.
The word “Morjuni” comes from word “Mor” which translates mother in Swedish, and “Juni” means June in Indonesian. Morjuni is a fresh, organic, and local cafe located in Waterloo, Ontario. It’s a secretly vegan cafe because there is a negative connotation towards veganism, and they offer non-plant-based options to not pressure customers who have other diets. The cafe also is open early and late-night to fit into students’ busy schedules. It focuses on bringing healthy choices for students in the area, giving them an uplifting space to do their school work, and most of all helping them support the local businesses in the area.
