Pairing Book

This book quickly turned into a passion project. Cooking eggs with my father brought me back to my childhood, and taking pictures of them with the help of my little brother really allowed us to connect better. The illustrations were a joy to create as well, and fit the overall tone of the book very nicely. A full PDF of the book available to read can be found by clicking here.

The largest hurdle while creating this project was the typesetting. Deciding on a point size that wouldn't be too large or too small was difficult, especially when considering cooks that may have impaired vision. In the end, the final typeset came through beautifully and remained easily accessible. Another challenge came in the palette. Originally, I had many more colours; reds, blues, greens. Needless to say, it didn't look good and missed the mark of the tone I wanted to set. The shades of yellow paired with white looks more natural and resembles the appearance of eggs.
